Grants Management

Grants Management is a division of the Community Development Department that was established in 2021. The Grants Management Division acquires grant funds and provides grant seeking, coordination and management services to Community Development and City of Ukiah departments to assist in the delivery of City services, expand housing and economic opportunities for the Ukiah community, and supplement existing City resources with external funding from federal, state, regional, and non-profit sources.

Currently, the largest funding sources for Division programs include the State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program.

What we do:

  • Collaborate with Community Development and City of Ukiah departments to identify grant opportunities and prepare grant proposals.
  • Manage and monitor Community Development and other grant programs and projects.
  • Oversee federal, state, and regional grant awards managed by the Community Development Department.
  • Administer CDBG and HOME program grants and associated Program Income.
  • Assist other City of Ukiah departments with grant proposals and grant program management on an ad hoc basis.
