Memorial Benches & Trees Program
Thank you for considering a donation to support City Parks through the City of Ukiah’s Memorial Bench Program. Donations are used to pay for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of the benches and memorial plaques. Excess funds help support the City of Ukiah’s Friends of Ukiah Parks fund overseen by the Public Spaces Commission.
Your memorial plaque will be placed on the bench in a location to accommodate ease of reading, comfort of bench users, and maintenance. Your memorial plaque will be kept in place and maintained a minimum of ten years. Though rare, if the bench is irreparably damaged or removed due to park infrastructure updates the City will attempt but cannot guarantee replacement. At the end of the ten-year period, you will be allowed the opportunity to renew your memorial at a cost determined at that time. Please note most projects take 6 months or longer to complete from initial inquiry to installation.

Trees Program
The Adopt-A-Tree Fund donations can be in any amount and all donations help the City of Ukiah improve our urban forest. All donations are placed in a protected (designated) fund that can only be used for projects that improve our urban forest by planting and caring for trees.
While all donations are appreciated:
- $250 level will be acknowledged with a certificate
- $500 level will be acknowledged with a custom “leaf” on our Todd Grove Park Memorial Tree Program wall
- $1000 level will have prime placement of the custom leaf on the “tree” portion of the wall
Donations are held in a fund until City staff needs to plant a tree or trees in one of our parks, open spaces, or streets. Unfortunately, we are not able to designate your tree fund donation for a particular tree or park. We can, however, mail a copy of a special certificate to an individual to let them know of your donation.
