About Robert

I was born and raised in Ukiah and have spent my life working, building businesses, raising my family, and being part of this community. I’m a husband, father, and small-business owner who believes that local government should listen to the people it serves.

I don’t claim to have every answer. I am willing to learn, ask the hard questions, listen to residents, and work toward practical solutions.

Family & Community Roots

Ukiah has been home to my family for more than 40 years.

In 1979, my father’s family moved here from Detroit and made Ukiah their home. My grandfather served as Mendocino County’s Supervisor of Building and Grounds, dedicating his career to maintaining and improving the community we all share.

My father followed a different path of public service. He served in law enforcement as both a Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputy and a City of Ukiah Police Officer, helping protect the community he called home. I grew up seeing what service to your community looks like.

Today, more than 40 years after my family first arrived in Ukiah, I believe it is my turn to step up and serve.

I’m a husband, father, and local small-business owner. I’ve built my life here, raised my family here, and invested my time and energy into this community.

I want to help fix what isn’t working, protect what makes Ukiah special, and make sure the people who live here have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives. Community first. Policy over politics.

What I Plan to Do

  • Put the community first and make sure residents’ voices are heard.
  • Put policy over politics and focus on practical results.
  • Support responsible growth that strengthens Ukiah without losing what makes it special.
  • Reduce unnecessary red tape and work toward a more efficient permitting process.
  • Support local small businesses and help vacant commercial spaces become productive again.
  • Expand opportunities and activities for Ukiah’s youth.
  • Promote responsible, accountable city spending.
  • Work toward a safer, more efficient Ukiah and take residents’ concerns seriously.

A Message to Ukiah

We live in one of the best valleys in California. There is no reason Ukiah shouldn’t be thriving.

I may not have all the answers, but I am willing to learn, listen, and ask the hard questions. I want residents to feel represented and to know that their concerns matter.

With your help, we can bring the power back to the people in our community and work together to build a stronger Ukiah.
