I've lived in Ukiah since 2003. I relocated here from Santa Rosa to raise my family in a small-town atmosphere.
I've spent over 32 years as a water resources professional and public servant — first elected to the Marin Municipal Water District Board of Directors in 1994, then working with the Sonoma County Water Agency, Russian River Flood Control, and the City of Ukiah. Along the way, I've worked closely with our local farmers and with this community.
Our region is in the middle of a major shift. PG&E's decision to decommission the Potter Valley Project will have massive implications to our community. So will the ongoing consolidation of regional water districts. I believe it's critical to have an elected official who understands these issues deeply enough to help navigate our community through what comes next.
But water is only one piece of what our home needs. We need better roads, more jobs, and housing for young families. We need to invest in our future so there's a future here for our children.
In my spare time I'm an avid cyclist, fisherman, and gardener. I would greatly appreciate your vote.
