Our Dispatch Center is the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the City of Ukiah and the City of Fort Bragg. We answer calls from the public and provide dispatching services to both communities. We have a state of the art communication center located at the Ukiah Police Department.

Each shift is staffed with a team of two Public Safety Dispatchers who are responsible for answering 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls. They determine what type of assistance is needed, dispatch officers to calls for service, and receive and transmit radio communications with officers in the field.

Our Dispatch Center received over 14,732 9-1-1 calls in 2023 and approximately 56,737 non-emergency phone calls.
