The Information Technology Department keeps the City connected and running smoothly by managing its computer, network, and phone systems. From desktop software and business applications to databases, email, and remote access, IT provides the backbone for nearly every digital service the City relies upon.

The team handles system planning, maintenance, network security, data backup, internet access, and user application support. They also deliver hands-on assistance with desktop setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and repairs, ensuring employees have the tools they need to work efficiently.

In addition, IT oversees the City’s public website and internal Intranet, guiding their ongoing development and upkeep. Staff provide technology training across departments, whether through in-house sessions or outside providers, to help employees stay current with evolving tools.

Behind the scenes, City IT staff manage and maintain the servers, operating systems, desktops, printers, and the entire network infrastructure—including routers, fiber cabling, and remote site connectivity—that keep City services online and reliable.
